29 inch question

While talking to my friend at the lbs the subject of montain bikes came up.he said there is a 29 incher out with decent components that should fit begineers well and its under $500.He couldnt remember who was making it.Does anyone out there know/Thanks ahead of time.

FWIW. The Single Speed version of the RALEIGH XXIX should sell for under $500(US) at this point in time since most dealers need to begin to clear 2009 inventory ...

I think KONA might have a 29er that is in the $500 range.

Of course, you should check eBay, too.

If you & your friend were talking about a geared 29er with a suspension front fork, then I don't know ...
