Guy in a multiple lap short track XC race repeatedly pushes racers through the crux of the course. Whats up with that?

Looks like the time gaps between the riders who were pushed were pretty close... regardless if the guy meant to "cheat" or not those little shoves would have definately taken a couple seconds off a 15 lap race.
