1017 is an ex pro cyclist from here in houston who crashed during a race and broke his leg and a few other bones. was training for the raam time ( race across america) but it took too much time away from work and family and so he got into endurance sports instead. i'll try and get some pics from my brother who accompanied MR. Link as his support.

i know i'm talking into thin air but those videos are getting my stomach turning butterflies. i'm nervous as hell and the thing isn't even until next year.

by the way, i hope they let me where my orange colonels jersey, i could use the assistance..;)

for those who don't know, don't care one way or another and for those who might find this tid bit of information interesting, i'll be wearing the orange colonels jersey in this picture that was given to me by a local once ranked world cross racer, current pro cross racer, pro mountain biker and road racer of past and overall cool ass nice guy that everyone that i know admires and that is hundreds of houston riders along with hundreds of worldwide riders and myself, The Mighty Sir Will Black (rides for Moots), who gave me all of those jerseys ( and one that was too small and so i gave it to my eldest and shortest brother who is a cyclist/triathlete, non competive and yes WB knows this and gave his blessing  ) as i at least have the courage to say who helps motivates me and what drives me.

that one jersey has gotten me back on the bike and out in front more times that i could have ever done without it. and i'll be in it for my first triathlon and all rides until that day.

i'm not exactly sure of what you are trying to say but i've never known of him to call himself Bill and he's a big boy and if he can become a top five world ranked cross racer for a few years running from Houston, take Big Lance in a few cross races which he has i'm sure he's not bothered with me thanking him for his efforts, if that is what you are saying. i hope he gets a kick out of it. and unfortunately the site that is for locals down here that he as well used to post on and still does from time to time, i personally can't stand the people in charge (moderators who immitate riders are the worst, especially when it's only attention they crave) or the members of it and so i don't communicate with him any longer and haven't in many, many, many months. i could care less for it so much that i don't look to any of the locals for advice and so i asked him if it would okay to write to him and ask for training advice and all riding questions and he was completely cool with it but my dumbass lost the box with his address on it. oh well, i probably wouldn't have known what to ask him anyways back then.

the real shocker is gonna be that i play out for real.

There are some fast guys in Houston right now. I'd be spending a lot of time trying to pick up as much from all of them as possible by doing the Paperclip and the Kirkwood ride regularly. They may not be "top pros" like your friend, but they're fast enough to make you suffer.

i'll stop you while you're ahead and say that if you are talking about swcc, i'm most definatley not interested.

Nope. not SWCC.

Kremke amd Strange are the two that come to mind immediately.

Every Tuesday & Thursday 5:45 p.m. Dickinson paper clip ride. All levels of riders welcome. 23 miles. Behind Sussan's Furniture. 517 & I-45 Bike Barn Clear Lake 281-480-9100

The Kirkwood ride leaves from the Bikebarn off the Kirkwood exit on I-10. Absolute suffer fest.

Sorry bout that I haven't actually done this one so I'm not 100% familiar with it. Here's the map to the ride.

Ask around. I'm sure people you ride with have heard of the ride.

heard of, led it and then some. many times.

btw The S is Silent, i've heard of that kremke guy and i don't think we're talking about the same ride. i've done the kirwood ride dozens of times and that is not a suffer fest at all (beginners and weekenders) and it's less than 50 miles. the other ride, the paper clip which i'm assuming is where the guys you are referring to are, i have never heard of or ridden with either of them on.

clarifying. i'd definately like to hang with them but if it's a bike barn ride, i'm more than likely not going to go out of my way at the drop of a hat.

i did however, while at the pool the other day, learn of a guy named Eddie ? that rides out of the bike barn here in katy who is putting down a supposed 60-80 a day and i'm trying to find him so i'll let you know how that goes as maybe he knows those other two.

thanks for the heads up though.
