You're right. I wish we would see more of that area and others in Eastern Europe. Eastern Europe has to be rife with rides that are little known outside their area.

A bit farther WNW is a ride I'd love to do, the Maraton Franja (http://www.franja.org/en), in Slovenia.

Well, it is true, that this part of Europe, and BG in particular, are not very well known for west people or USA citizen.
