View Full Version : Do we have a "classifieds" section?
most forums I belong to have a classifieds section where people can sell items?
No, I don't think there is a forum like that.
I think it would be a good idea, providing it didn't attract spammers like we seem to get on all the forums every week. I just saw a new one today...
You might suggest it in the "Tell us what you think" forum and see what the admin thinks about it.
I actually started working on this late last week, hope to finish it today. I will update this thread when the classifieds are online.

Hi there
The classifieds are back online, I would like to thank s bianchi10 and cyberlegend1994 for their great suggestions.
The classifieds are basically a work in progress, so if you can see room for improvement please let us know.

You should see a new link in the navigation that points to this page ( Main Index - Classifieds (http://www.cyclingforums.com/classifieds/index.php) )
Anything bicycling related is able to be listed :)
A sample ad can be viewed here; http://www.cyclingforums.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=11&cat=1

Sure go for it :D
Perhaps a rule for new users in order to post something for sale? say a member for 3 months and 50 posts? Just saving you the headache from new users signing up just to sell, or even worse scam.
I'm sure Steve will come up with something to screen out the nonsense and the riffraff...

The "Report Post" link--the triangle in the upper right corner of each post--seems to work great for notifying mods and admin. of spamular posts and other such things.

That it does - we get e-mailed the minute a post is reported.
