Double-take (town *wants* a bike race!)
View Full Version : Double-take (town *wants* a bike race!)
Had an interesting one that caught me off-guard yesterday. A city councilperson from an adjacent
town dropped by the shop, looking for ideas on how to get his city more connected with bike racing,
specifically the Sea Otter Classic (which is now running a road stage in Redwood City prior to the
main events in Monterey).
My guess is that the success of the SF Grand Prix has done a lot to make bike racing seem like
something attractive and fun, one of those positive quality-of-life things.
Who would have thought?
