Well, it did seem like he was working for Petacchi in, what, stage 10 was it? He didn't have any
choice, because there was a little gap to Valverde and somebody had to close it. With Petacchi on
his wheel, and the contract with Fasso Bortolo almost in the pocket, Lombardi was the man to do it.

I think Bicisport mentioned that there is a big chance of Lombardi moving to F.B. to help Petacchi.
He sure isn't going to stick around with Cipollini.
