Spar Numbi Cycling Classic

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). This must be one of the most underrated races in the country. Tough Demanding (VO2 forget about Hekmoord!!!!!, there is a 29 km climb up Kowynspass to start with!!!!!!) I only did the 75 km race because Kowyns is NOT tandem friendly. Even then we were the only tandem. That also means we were the "leading" tandem. This was first for us. Hills to dream of Climate to dream of Scenery to dream of and we even managed 95km/h down the hill at Mac Mac!!!!! I chickened out before the ton when I heard the train approaching the level crossing at the bottom of the hill!!!! Next time !!!!!!. The Gautengers can really give this race a try next year. Well marshalled but not timed (three legs start in Hazyview, Graskop and Sabie at the same time).
