some aromatherapy, with some lavender scent. I get a massage once a week.

training diary, which is being published in the New York Post.
I can understand the avoiding alcohol to a certain degree. But
I don't know whether to be sad for him or happy for the women in his life.
Hey somebody should tell Andy Hass about the aromatherapy with lavender scent, maybe he could cut
down on the weekly miles and still run faster.

Well, it could be that his trainers are up to date with the latest scientific reserach in the field
of sports physiology: i
In a Dutch study, Dr. Chris Goossens had two groups of professional soccer players run on a
treadmill at a starting speed of 8 km/h which was increased by 2 km/h every 3 minutes. The group
which had not abstained from
avgHR and reached the point of exhaustion 2-3 min sooner than the group which had.
In the case of a rap music artist with a presumable
the duration of abstinence must likewise be longer than one would find appropriate normally.
(OTOH the publicized abstinence, whether real or not, also serves as an indicator of the enormous
depth of commitment by said artist, as well as yet another hint
marathoners, such as myself, the abstinence wouldnīt be so different from everything as usual...)

Seriously, many truly elite athletes indulge themselves in some form of silly nancy boy pampering,
itīs good for you! Especially during the tapering phase when pre-race nerves can cause extretion of
adrenaline (which is quite definitively unwanted when youīre trying to store glycogen), any method
of effortless relaxation is acceptable.

Isn't an hour for you 59 minutes of thinking about and 1 minute of performance? No wonder it has no
effect on you.

How much do you charge?

You need pointers on "holding back longer" Doug? Ok, just move your hand slower. That claw like grip
that your hand is frozen-in will loosen up and that swelling in your wrist will go down too.
I can't wait to see how he does, and how he spins it when he gives up.

FWIW the Belgian (not Dutch as I remembered) Dr.Sports-Med was of the opinion that the the previous
studies hadnīt had active trained athletes as study groups or had some other fundamental weaknesses,
which is why he took up the research (which BTW was sponsored by Durex, the condom manufacturer).
The athletes in both groups were in steady relationships and presumably didnīt engage in as much
bar-hopping, strutting their stuff or any other popular forms of skirt-chasing as single athletes
often do (whether they have to or not).
He did point out that further studies will be required to
1) rule out the effects of different energy expenditure or sleeping hours between the two groups,
and 2) to find out
behind the decreased performance on the running mat (in case the other factors can be ruled out).
OTOH scientific studies usually include double-blind groups, so that the test personīs knowledge of
which group he is in cannot have any effect - shouldnīt both groups therefore be sedated for the
night, so that no-one can tell whether he

The tabloid press has a habit of bringing up the issue during every World Cup, and when Ronaldo, the
great Brazilian goal-
important match was good or not, he replied: "Yes, but only of the passive kind!"...

Well, he finished in a very respectable time. No spinning needed! =)
Well it didnt work too well. He took over four hours. Probably needed a longer base period.
I am very impressed by the amount of money he raised for charity.
