View Full Version : Swiss Swept Sixes

Swiss riders swept up the top spots in both Grenoble and Dortmund in the recent Six-Day events held
in those two cities.

Franco Marvulli paired with Alexander Aeschback won in Grenoble with the Risi-Betschart pair
notching up their thirtysecond joint win in Dortmund.

And to add a little icing to the cake, Peter Jorg, piloted by compatriot Rene Aebi won the
Internationale Karstadt Steher Championat held cojointly with the Dortmund Six.

In Munich tonight Risi-Betschart will be going for their thirtythird win and Marvulli and Aeschbach
will be there too although not riding as a pair.

Franco Marvulli will be paired with Italy's Marco Villa whilst Alexander Aeschbach will take to the
boards with Jean-Pierre von Zil from South Africa.

Ullrich will not be riding as the promoters had hoped but has agreed to fire the starting gun.

Will it be a Pinarello, Binchi or Giant starting gun?

I am glad that someone is actually paying attention to bike racing.

Were there any pictures from Grenoble? You know, like:

Nobody knows how to reach cycling fans like the French.

None of those women has any bandages on, so Cynthia Compain is -not- in the lineup...

There are pictures available and I am trying to get permission from the copyright holders to use a
few on my site.

So far no luck though.

Besides which, as explained in the README on my site, it is not optimized for any particular
browser and in particular it is decidedly not optimized for GUI browsers although it is
(hopefully) engineered to be easily readable with Lynx, Links, E-Links and similar browsers and
to be decipherable by non browser type user agents (SMS, Braille Readers, Speech Synthesizers
for example).

But having said that, I shall do my level best to get a few pix for those who want them.
