A couple of people have asked me why the US team missed the break at U-23 worlds. Why? Well you see
it was our plan, we decided that being the super power that we are, we couldn’t hog everything at
worlds. We decided to give one away to gain some favors and sit on our butts in the pack. You know
what I don’t like? When people, who haven’t ever made the US worlds team, rip on us for missing
the break. If you haven’t done a championships, keep your mouth shut. The championships is the
single craziest race all year. There are about 10 million attacks and you can only follow so many. I
don’t think it’s a big secret that we’re not as strong as the other nations. We did what we
could, and missed the move. And just to remind everyone, it’s a under-23 race, not the Tour de
France, so relax.
He really does have a clue. I think he really does have a good handle on things, but he's got the
same problem my kid's got. Lack of TOTAL commitment to winning races. He might just end up being a
well rounded pretty decent national level racer. That sucks, right? Bill C

You realize you're insulting pretty much everyone in this newsgroup with that comment right? I know
you think that he has more talent than this, but being a decent national level racer is nothing to
sneeze at. It won't put food on the table, but it is still to be respected.

Yet again I failed to hang out the "Sarcasm" sign. I've really got to get an auto deploying neon
version. Bill C

I prefer the 12 foot inflatable version but people still regularly fail to notice it. Must be the
fact that it takes me half an hour to blow it up. :)

Bill, how dare you criticize?! You're just a non-entity compared to riders who've made the national
team and raced in world championships. And as for national level, career racers.........ahhhhhhhh
choooooooo.

I agree. The criticism should be left to bike racing experts, like Brian Lafferty. That guy knows
more about racing than anyone.
