Latex vs Butyl inner tubes

I have a pair of both inner tubes . I have never tried the latex. I have light weight butyl tube.
The latex and butyl weight the same. What is the advantages of the latex tubes for race day. I know
that each time you ride you have to pump up the latex. I also heard the ride was better with the
latex and I also heard the latex was superior in the puntures resistants. It this true and what is
your opinion?

Worry less about your tubes and more about your tires. Ride lightweight stuff and you'll get more
flats. Simple. Wanna save weight? Take all that other useless crap off your bike.

How can you claim weight is the only issue in flats? Latex and butyl have different puncture
characteristics. This didn't address his question at all (even if it is clearly in the wrong
newsgroup).

Why? Both tire and tube contribute to RR, and latex has lower RR than butyl. Whether it is "worth
it" or not to him, I have no clue.

What exactly was ambiguous about this statement:
