This is probably a dumb question, but as I am a born again cyclist I am still getting back into the swing of things. I am sure that some of us on here drive or ride performace cars and sports motorcycles and can feel the differences of various tyres and therefore have a our favourites (e.g. Goodyear Eagle F1 on a car and Michelin Pilot Sport on a motorbike etc).

Anyway, I was wandering if there are significant differences in feel amongst the various such as following picked at random, Continental Grand Prix 4 Season, Continental Grand Prix Attack/Force , Specialized All Condition Armadillo, Vredestein Ricorso, Vittoria and the various others that would make a noticeable difference during daily rides of the more enthusiast cyclist?

Do any of you have a personal favourite? if so, what is it and why?

Hey,
I have used several different tyres on my bike, and you do notice a difference in both durability and ride comfort.
The tyres that i always go back to now are the Continentals. i have had two sets of continentals(sold the first lot with my old bike), and have never puctured in over 10000km of cycling in England(so the surfaces aren't the best!!). I trust them so much now that i don't take a spare tube or repair kit with me when out riding.

I haven't heard bad things about the others but if it was up to me i would choose one of the Continentals.

Hope that helps

Thanks for that information. I have seen that Continental seem to have a decent range of tyres and was just wandering about others experiences with tyres.
