Today's ride was short but fantastic and exhilarating. It totalled only about 6 miles by cycling to
Sutton Coldfield via Sutton Park but nevertheless it was a fantastic sunny day.
It was too cold for the lager louts to be out in their mobile music systems but yet it wasn't too
cold to cycle.
I risked cycling through a long stretch of fallen leaves, not knowing what may have been underneath.
I arrived at the end with no punctures. Presumably that was because having a puncture today would
not have made me late for work!
I stopped to say hello to the ducks, swans and geese. They said "Quack" in reply, which I think
meant "Nice bike, mate".
I picked up a copy of C+ from Smiffs and then bought a sarnie and coffee.
On the return run, between the park boundary and my house, the traffic was solid due to resurfacing
works. I overtook it in 3 or 4 spurts, occasionally pulling back in to allow for oncoming traffic.
Nothing spoiled my fun today.
