Hello. I was wondering if any of you have any tips for helping a runner peak twice, with the peaks 4
weeks apart. Specically I want to help a runner who I help coach peak at the Footlocker Western
Regionals after he has already peaked for his state meet. I know that he should bump up his mileage
to a level higher than what he was doing his last few weeks before state and that he shouldn't go up
too high. He was doing approximately 40 miles a week for the 2 weeks leading up to state. I was
thinking of having him go up to 50 for the next two weeks, and then down to 40 and then 30 the week
before and week of footlocker. He'll be racing next weekend and doing a time trial inbetween his
upcoming race and footlocker. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
