I just purchased a pair of Stabilicers for traction control in winter running. They were featured in
a recent article in Runner's World, and my local running store was selling them, so I picked up a
pair. I attached them to one of my pairs of running shoes and figure I'll use them when the roads
are snowy/icy, but I haven't had a need for them yet this winter.

Has anyone else tried these? Are they very effective? How long do the "bolts" last? A replacement
bag is available for $5 and has maybe 25 extra bolts. How do they perform on regular blacktop (in
stretches between snow/ice)?

I'm sure I'll get a chance to try them out soon in our wonderful Michigan winter wonderland, but was
just wondering if any of you had any input on them.

I haven't, but they're mentioned in this newspaper review article - including the wear issue,
although not quantified. http://www.adn.com/outdoors/story/2666130p-2707203c.html
