Juan Zinn is good,but has some warts. www.parktool.com repair and maintenance has alot of good stuff.

Juan I second the recommendation for the Park tool website. Check there before you do ANYTHING.

At Waldenbooks I bought "Bicycling Magazine's Complete Guide to Bicycle Maintenance and Repair including road bikes and mountain bikes." About $20.

The people who wrote this -- unlike the clowns who write Christmas toys assembly instructions -- have grasped that instructions must be simpler than the person who is to follow those instructions. Withal, it is very well done with simple, clearly written instructions, and lots of step-by-step pictures.
