View Full Version : SMARTrain V1.01 released

Well...

It has been a slow Xmas, so I have added/modified code for SMARTrain
V1.01.The url for download can be found at: http://www.aracnet.com/~joec/sw.html

As usual, this is a OpenSource/Freeware product for use on Linux/Unix/OSX-based platforms. It is
still a command line based tool, but development on the Motif version will begin shortly. For those
using OSX, download either of the tar files, and compile accordingly. I do not have an OSX platform
myself, but those users who have installed/tested the alpha/beta versions have reported no problems
compiling and using.

Changes and revisions in this release are:
* Postscript file generation/printing enabled.
* Max/Min range bug in database query fixed.
* Heart rate Zone tool defect resolved (Selected distance is now properly displayed.)
* Improved format for weekly report (html, postscript, txt formats).
* Improved format for monthly report (html, postscript, txt formats).

For those of you who are looking for the Windows based version, that is in the planning stage. No
ETA on delivery.

Usual disclaimers apply. Use freely but with the caveat that no warranties are supplied with this
application.

With respect to the last release of this application, my thanks to those of you who offered
suggestions. To those of you who offered flames, hey, you have the choice to use or not to use.
Flames will be promptly ignored and sent to my good buddy, Dave Null.

Best wishes in the upcoming season!

You can probably obtain an instant, quick-and-dirty port using Cygwin.

Seems on-topic and relevant to me, jerkoff.

In what way is free, open-source software for athletic training not on-topic for:
rec.bicycles.misc,rec.bicycles.racing,rec.sport.triathlon,rec.running ???

Grasshopper's gone from "Don't try to sell" to "don't post off-topic". But you're still wrong,
becuase it is topical, so which way are you going to jump now, little grasshopper ? You could cut
your losses and retreat, but it's so much more fun watching you make an ass of yourself.

Cheers,

See, that's the thing I like about idiots like you -- I knew could count on you to write a response
and further humiliate yourself even after you've had your ass handed to you on usenet. Having no
response, you could have crawled away into the shadows, which would have been the smartest course of
action -- which is why you predictably did something else.

Because you're foolish enough to think that you actually can save a shred of dignity by getting in
the last word. Never mind that you had no response available, you just have to get the last word in,
even if you're reduced to incoherent rambling and/or spouting a few insults or obsecenities. But the
truth is that getting in the last word doesn't mean that you've "won", it just means that you're a
very persistent moron.

So come on, moron -- prove me right take the last word, so everyone else can take the last laugh at
your expense, that way everyone goes home happy.

Cheers,

He cross-posted into newsgroups that haven't previously been blessed with his wit and wisdom. I
didn't know to ignore him. Now I do. I had forgotten just how bad the signal to noise ratio was in
rec.bicycles.*
