Are they worth attending? I'm thinking of nipping over to York this morning with my sone to get him
some cycle clothing and have a look for bargains.
Are the prices reasonable? Any pitfalls to avoid?
Cheers

Vernon, they usually have a sale in Leeds, at South Leeds Leisure Centre (Beeston/Holbeck, not South
Leeds Stadium) at the beginning of January, this year it was the 4th ! I went, I usually do, and to
the one in Bradford which is late summer/autumn. I think they are worth a visit, I picked up an old
but unused jersey for £10, some Altura gloves for £15, some inner tubes
3/£7. They have black SRAM chains for £5.99, £9.99 for 9 speed. They also had Ultegra triple
chainset for £10 less than the cheapest mail order house I have seen and deals on end of line
tyres. I tend to stock up on consumables twice a year. I have also been to these in Birmingham
and Gateshead over the years and also last year at the York Rally. If you have a good knowledge
of the items you use and an idea of what you want to pay you could save yourself some money on
some items.
I get there about 40 minutes before doors open, either sit in the car or get in the queue so I have
a quick reccy before it gets busy then I am one of the first to leave before the paying section
gets busy.
In summary its worth a visit, know what you're after and understand how much the items are worth.
