View Full Version : Best General Magazine
Best General Magazine
I want to start getting a cycling magazine but the only ones I can find are dedicated towards either
racing or MTB. I just want something general to read which will increase my knowledge.
I heard that Cycling + is good so any views or alternative suggestions welcome.
Cheers

C+ is probably your best bet - although the CTC mag is aimed at "middle of the road" (not literally,
although in some cases ....) cyclists - but of course you have to join the CTC. Having said that,
the CTC annual sub at about £30 isn't far off the cost of a C+ sub, and you get the other CTC
benefits too.

I like C+. The CTC mag is also good, but you need to be in the CTC to get that.

The best general bike mag is the CTC's, free with membership, as well as all the other benefits:
possibly cheaper to join the CTC than to subscribe to some of the mags!

I would agree with C+. CW is good for shopping but generally race orientated. There was a new one
out last summer the name of which escapes me which had all the leisure/sponsored/audax rides listed
(also don't like the way CW describes eg a 600k as a leisure ride!)

Plus the CTC mag. That's enough for me.

Velovision magazine may be what you're looking for. It's a
subscription only mag but there are several articles (and the whole of
issue one) that can be viewed on their website, so it is possible to
see if it suits your taste.
