($1000 Recommendations for treadmill or eliptical machine

After reading some posts on this group, I got to thinking maybe a sub-$1000 treadmill is not such a
great idea. I have always liked eliptical machines better anyway, and I can always run outside.

I was checking out reviews of the NordicTrack CXT 910 and people didn't seem very pleased with it.
Can anyone here suggest anything else that I should look at? Thanks

Try http://www.epinions.com (http://www.epinions.com/) , search for elliptical. Note the difference between a user review and a
store review.

Listen you stupid nazi, I own one, and it is an exceptional machine with a load of features that
other machines can only dream of. It has a in house one year warranty on all parts and labor, and is
as good now as the day I bought it, inspite of two hour a day WO's between us. I don't know who the
numbnutz is that says it's bad, but it wasn't on here, or in any credible mag either.

We got one of those $99 gazelle things - not exactly a dreadmill or eliptical but not a bad workout
for the money.

YMMV

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an
oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone
to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and
his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with
weapons of mass destruction is real" - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

In fact it was on here, and it was also on Epinions. I ordered a NordicTrack 990 yesterday but
cancelled my order after reading some bad reviews. I will go to Sears and actually try one out
before I buy it. Sorry for my facist views on elliptical machines--- I didn't mean to commit
genocide over an innocent machine.

I'm am truly mystified at those "epinions" because everyone I know, including people on this NG I've
told to get them, and did, nobodys ever heard of, or had that problem mentioned, or any at all.
