Yeah dammit - and my local crit series is dominated by 100% American teams. Not to mention the local
little league.
TDF is a far more prominent race than either the Giro or Vuelta, so one would expect a greater level
of international demand for slots. In addition, this year seems to be somewhat of an outlier for TDF
team selection, with fewer questionable team decisions by TDF organizers. I hope the trend
continues, but sadly, with next year's ProTour I suspect that the Giro and Vuelta will be
contaminated with major teams' JV (junior varsity) squads.

Only two stupid frogs could write such a pile of bull****. The difference is that in case of the
Giro and the Vuelta is the foreign teams who do not want to go there, most of the top team renounce
to the spot they earned and most of the others don't even apply for the wild cards. The Giro
organizers even left out a couple of minor Div 2 local teams, even if the limit of 22 teams was not
reached, in order to have the race look less nationalist.
OTOH, your idiot idol leblank left out some really good foreign Div 1 teams who did ask for a
wildcard. To compensate that, he invited froggy team rags semences, who is not even made of real
cyclists, but of entities that have to be considered at a level inferior to the one of human beings,
so high is their level of frogginess.

Ha, very good. Only I'm not an idiot frog. I'm an idiot hotdog.
I guess the Swiss are in on this too (Maybe it's just the French Swiss and not the Italian Swiss),
since the UCI is the group that ranked the French teams in division 1.
Funny, you stupid macaronis didn't complained about idiot LeBlanc "leaving out some very good
foreign division 1 teams" so he could include that second division team- Domina Vacanze so we can
watch an old hasbeen embarass himself, his team, and his country once again.
à toi...

Thanks for the gratuitous crap - knowing it came from you makes it easier to digest.

Sorry, but I found the Vuelta last year more interesting that the TdF.

Make it a better race - "If you build it, they will come."

Make yours better ! Frankly, Italians are more devoted than the French to cycling as a regular
activity, more than as a sport. I have no problem if the TdF drops a level of attraction. But that
would offend the national tourist industry. That much is visible in all the notes about how to find
a good spot to watch the tour, or the foreign participation in the Étape du tour.
Happy frogs !

Giro - 11 Italian teams out of 12 Div 1&2 total Italian teams
Tour - 6 French teams out of 6 Div 1 total French teams (France has no Div2 teams this year).
Vuelta - 8 Spanish teams out of 8 Div 1&2 total Spanish teams
I do think Tour organizers ought to be able to include all the French teams because it is their national tour. I'd like to see all three GT's have equal importance and prestige.

Because it's the biggest grand Tour of all, virtually every Div 1 team and many Div II teams want to
participate. Contrast that to the Giro, which seems to have problems filling out a feild in recent
years. Tenax is riding for the second year in a row. I'd never even heard of them prior to last
years race....
That said, the wild card selections this year seem pretty fair, even extending Cipo an olive
branch....
