Brother of Candice Blickem who won last year's Athens Twilight Crit. Both were mountain bikers who switched to road, IIRC. If you'd have paid closer attention you would have seen his name in the top ten or twenty of plenty of races last year. There are a few guys who have been flying under the radar of folks like you who only look at who WON the race - like that D'Antoni guy who got 3rd at Valley of the Sun and then won that pursuit a couple weeks later in FL. Guys who work hard and make incremental progress may not be as splashy as the Tom Danielsons who come out of nowhere and then win races, but there are plenty out there. The smaller races early in the season are their best chances to win.
