Wow, I can't believe that page is still up. It's been over
two years! I thought it got took down after a year or so -
maybe it got put back online....? It used to not have the
"buy shirt" thing at the bottom.
I can't believe you've never come across this before, it was
the joke of the internet ages ago.
cheers,

Perhaps you should get a check on your eyes before hurling
any insults... Have another *careful* look at the text on
the page that pops up...
The Admiral.
Tim is just not as fast as you, David, and at some point he'll have to
swallow the bitter pill - don't rub it in too hard

Ever the same. Always the last one to find about these
things.
Have you tried "miserable failure" (which you'll no doubt
tell me is another oldie)?

Man, I am such a dope. I had to go back a second (and

LOL ... But I didn't call you a "miserable failure" - in fact if I hadn't
had so much respect for your endeavours as I do, I wouldn't have made my
gentle jibe in the first place ... I remember full well how hard you tried
to get under 3.30 for a marathon and I've followed your progress since then
(all your macho 5 ks seeing off the club whippersnappers) with a mixture of
amusement and admiration ...
You're all right, Tim.

Because begging is unbecoming.

Well that did cross my mind but I'm hopeful that you'll
cough up *without* any prompting from me. Would you like a
better address to send your donation to? I'm not sure that
my original suggestion was such a good one.

No, no you ninny, that's another entry to try in google with
the "I'm feeling lucky" button. T'wasn't meant to be a
reference to you, me or anyone in particular.

Oh, I don't know. I think the beggars that one comes
across in any inner city area have a certain dignity, even
if it's only the dignity of last resort. Were I in their
shoes I expect I'd simply curl up and die quietly in some
dark alley.

You're doing that to irritate me, aren't you? The second
'to' is superfluous. You could have saved your fingers some
work by simply typing 'Would you prefer an alternate
address?' Ho hum.
Your original suggestion seems fine, unless it's causing you
inconvenience. If it is, please advise me before Sat 'cause
I'm posting the thing then, so it should be there by Monday.
I apologise for the delay, I completely forgot until I
noticed your sig yesterday.

Hmm. Ever considered anger management? What about an attempt
at arguing without resorting to insults?
Top-posting too! Is there no end to your talents? What's
'honor', by the way?

Anger Management? Thta's like a hot water enemma to cure a
brain tumor. He does serve to define abnormal boundries.

Don't bait him, it's not worth the effort.

In Dougs case you are delivering the enema closer to the
right area to effect his tiny brain.

Not intentional I'm afraid (although I suppose I could try
harder to irritate you). No the sad truth is that sometimes
appalling drivel escapes through my fingertips and gets
posted unchecked.

Actually, the address is probably okay but probably best
send it to Dr. M K Shaw as there is another Dr. Downie at
the same address and we wouldn't want it to go astray.
