Default Le Tour Question

I have just become very interested in Cycling, and just bought the DVD of the Le Tour 2003, and it
is great stuff. These guys are aliens to keep that pace each day.

But my question is, how does Le Tour De France run. I mean you see some guys go for broke 1 k from
the finish line, then they back right off, and let others pass.

Is this team work, please fill me in on the general running of Le Tour.

Thanks.

Good to hear of your new interest, but please take cfsmtb's advice and do some research on the Web
first. Once you've found out the basics off your own bat, people will be more inclined to answer any
specific questions you may have, especially in rec.bicycles.racing, which is probably a more
appropriate NG than this one for this type of question. Otherwise you will either be (a) ignored
(because people won't be bothered writing pages and pages in answer to wide-open questions) or
(b) flamed as a troll (i.e they won't think the question is genuine).

Hope this helps,

I would not recommend that ng. It would have to be one of the unfriendliest bunches I've spotted
on the 'net.

Google is your friend: http://www.google.com.au/search?q=to...=UTF-8&oe=UTF-
8&hl=en&met a=

I think the best way to learn about the tour is to watch it. See if any cycling buddies have
previous tours on VHS?
