Default Roads around Newcastle/Gosford/Myall Lakes

I want o do a little bit of training in July.
I am looking for some roads around the Newcastle/Gosford/Myall Lakes area that are of decent quality with little traffic.
Decent length would be good as well.

G'day,

There are a few organised rides each year including the 'loop the lake' and 'hunter bike run' which can be riden at any time.

Loop the lake starts at Speers Point and takes in Toronto, Morriset, Swansea and back to Speers Point. It is about 80km.

The Hunter Bike Run and is a good course (except Stockon bridge) of about 60km.

If you are worried about traffic you can always just do laps of Broadmeadow racecourse.

Regards,
