Default Winter warmers?

With winter approaching (although we're pretty lucky with the 20 degrees we're still getting in mid-June), it will be pretty chilly on those early morning rides very shortly.

Still being a novice, what are the roadies wearing in the morning? Full length cycle pants, long running pants, or the Steve Waugh 'skins'? Full length cycle tops, or are they using those removeable sleeves? What lights are roadies using in the morning? What's best value?

Grateful for your two-bob's worth. Cheers

I found for the early morning sub 5 degrees rides which I have done for the last few weeks. The leg warmers, arm warmers, shoes covers and lastly the head warmers are essentials, parlitcularly with shoes covers which stops me from getting the dreadful numb toes usually just some 20 minutes into the ride. Also wearing a thin pullover jumper preferably with zipper over the jersy is desirable,so to keep the body warm before one is fully warmed up.

Thanks giantbike. Have bought myself the arm warmers and thermal sock covers, and plan to pick up some leg warmers (what about those Steve Waugh skins?) soon. Tell me, what lights do you suggest I use for those early morning rides? Any suggestions on value-for-money brands?

Cheers and beers . . . . . TwoBob
