Self run training camp.

Tired of training in the wet, cold and dark days of the UK winter. Well I am, so i'm goining to stop sulking and do something about it. No not change the weather (I wish). Time to pack that bike into its case and jet on down under to Australia. I'm trying to set up a kind of training camp/tour to get some serious base miles in, in December/January. Its going to be for 2-4 weeks depending on how keen everyone is and will be set up and funded through sponsership with all excess going to charity. So not only are you getting a great holiday, nice hot weather to do some long training rides, but you will be contributing towards great causes as well.
I know its very early to be thinking about this and I too am still deep in racing. Which is great if it wasn't p...ing it down with rain all of the time.
I want to get a group of at least 5 people together and already have one member of the forum interested. Hell if anything you get to see the other side of the world for next to nothing.
I am thinking about riding on the East Coast with a good few days spent in the Alps. The accomodation will depend on how much money we can raise and i think a faire split of 50/50 to carity would only be faire for those who are digging deep to pay for this excellent oppertunity.
This isnt closed to just men. Women are very welcome to. If there are enough people interested then perhaps we could have a few different paced runs all meeting at the same location at the end of the day.
If anyone interested has a non cycling partner who would also be interested in a cheap holiday and some nice hot weather at that time of year then we could do with one - two people dependent on the numbers to drive a car (yes hiring one ves there). This would remove the need for everyone to carry paniers/trailers so we could all ride our super sexy race bikes and have spares carted around for us.

Doesn't this all sound very jolly.........
To make this possible i need people who are keen, can get the time off work or away from education, however this would likely be in the holidays for those students out there.
