well the 06 range now has a OCR composite. The 06 composite looks a bit different from the 05 OCR range. The top tube seems to be curved? Am I seeing things? Unfortunately I have not seen the bike close up as yet. I had a chat with the bike shop sales person, the OCR is marketed as a road comfort bike with a more upright position by virtue of a longer head tube. He was of the opinion that unless one were using the bike for racing, the OCR would be a more comfortable ride. Comments anyone? I am pretty much ready to buy a OCR composite ... I was keen on the TCR Euro Composite, but so far no luck in getting the bike to NSW. The shops which had the really nice price of $2490 were not able to send the bike to NSW due to restrictions by Giant Australia. |

I think I'll buy a 2006 CRX 1, even though I don'y like the colour very much. However, a bike shop told me today that Giant bikes are generally heavy. Were they just trying to sell me something else? Other choices woul be Specialized Sirrus or the new Avanti Blade when they're out. |

Have not gone for a ride yet, cant wait to do it tomorrow. Well worth all the time it took to save up for it! Of course this is a biased opinion |

I've just ordered my 2006 CRX1, it should be here in about a week. I'm a bit worried about the 12-23 cassette/2 crank setup so will probably go for a 12-27 which is supposed to be similar to conventional 3 crank setup. The supplied cassette is SRAM R9 12-23, can anyone suggest what is the equivalent QUALITY to SRAM R9 in Shimano 12-27? cheers for comments Tony |

I have the OCR2, it was bought for lightweight touring and Audax rides etc. It allows me to attach a rack to the frame so I can use panniers with it.It will be good for those 100K plus rides. It rides like a dream and as far as weight goes, thats not an issue because it won't be used as a racing bike. |
