Default Touring the Kimberley with trailer

Hi I and a couple of friends are doing a tour of the Kimberley (from Katherine to Broome) in July - September (Open to anyone else who wants to come!) We are debating trailers vs panniers - we have done a lot of pannier touring here and in NZ but we feel that as it will be mostly gravel roads and we'll have to carry a fair bit of water trailers are the way to go. We are leaning towards BOB single wheel trailers but also considering the cheaper one-wheel trailer featured in the latest Australian Cyclist magazine (sold by flying furniture in Canberra). Anyone out there who has experience with either of these and/or touring the outback with panniers?
