Oh look! My avatar from 2 years ago is still there! Awwww.
Of course Thylo was only using the term 'Seppo' as an insult to Septic Tank manufacturers. The complained to the mods about being compared to Americans.

Thats really unfair - it was only one 'merican

snow bike = MTB
rain bike = crappy commuter / non-race bike, I certainly have one, it's never washed and is covered in dirt and grease.

come to think of it.. so is my race bike

Somehow, I don't know how, I only cracked the ultegra plate on the shifter. Not even another scratch, unless you count my knee

It's a good idea to have one bike for training/rain and one for racing on two counts: if anything happens to one of them you always have a backup whilst repair/replacement takes its sweet time to happen, and you don't have the hassle of having to strip all the weight off the bike on race day.

i have to go over railtracks every day if i head down out of the hills...they certainly are a *****!!! i cant decide whether its better to go over them slowly or like a madman possessed lol!! generally i prefer the latter option and hope for the best - its worked ok so far...sorry to hear about the knee and cracked plate...would be nice if bike components 'healed' over time like the body does lol

The problem with these ones is they cross the road at about 55 degrees. Add water, and you can guess the rest.
