Echowell/UNION HRMs. Well they have everything you need in an HRM except reliability.

DO NOT buy an Echowell/UNION HRM with wired anything. This becomes a problem if you want HR + speed + cadence because the dopey buggers only designed two receiver channels into the unit. The wiring fails within half a blamphford standard unit of connector endurance. Very, very bad Vaughtin.

The buttons will fail either "out of the box" or soon after. Enjoy the unit while you can.

Good to see Paul Shaw back at the track tonight... in jeans and a tee-shirt. He was never gonna ride a fast time in that poofy **** anyway. Glad he didn't embarress himself.

so, how many kms is that? Sounds like a lot. Hmmmm, if only I could think of a low impact activity YOU could do for hours and hours which burns a million calories, gets (keeps?) you fit, and tones your legs..... (hmm, bit cutesy, that emoticon -- don't like it)...........hmmmm, how about bie riding?

The books I had years ago said they were 550, but, after some Googling, I've found 490, 540 and 570! Either way, booze is still a killer for calories, especially spirits mixed with lemonade. Probably the way to get hammered with the lowest energy intake is to drink strong spirits either straight or with a zero calorie mixer.

I was talking to some dude the other day who was wearing an Aus Navy team kit, and who'd just moved down here from Newcarsel. Says he can't believe how good Melbourne's roads are by comparison

I've only spent 6 months of my whole life working in an office, so it's all a mystery to me. In that short time, the only thing I did was get my mate a job there -- I left to pursue the earning of a few hundred bucks a week as a 'muso', and he now runs the Sydney branch of the company

Well, it's probably 300 metres from one end of the hospital to the other, so you can rack up quite a bit of distance in the course of the day.

I just wish my hours were friendlier so I could do more bike riding - I've done fark all in the last 12 months and my fitness has dropped to tragic levels. I've got lots of work to do before I meet Hitchy for the 2009 AAC.

Nope, that would require a level of emotional involvement and constitute cheating.

BJ's only.

Top day, 70km first thing, bottled 65 stubbies of IPA, yummy smells coming from the kitchen, then after dinner I'm off to watch roadies crashing into each other.

Seemed appropriate. Unfortunately the stream is krapp, so you'll need to apply patience until it's fully loaded
