The only spokes I didn't like were the DT Revolutions, and that was on a front wheel! I dunno what gauge they were, but they were very light: 152g for 32 x 292mm (without nipples), compared to 240g for the same length Champions. I have some wheels with DB Sapims and some other brand, and I can't really tell the difference between these and the straight DT Champions, but these DB spokes weigh about 195g to 200g for 32, so they're not too light. I reckon on a track bike you'd need as much stiffness as possible, so i'd go for the Champions. I used to have a track bike with a 40 spoke rear wheel on an Airlite hub!! I also reckon the shock absorption benefits of DB spokes are overstated. |

You have been around for a few years now and people have heard about thylacine. Maybe this type of advertising may have some benifit, as it makes the brand more tangible and look more lagit and respected. Thats my 2 cents.

You've all f*cked off of BF!?!? Sissies! Our Dear Friend Koffee got herself into yet another fight in another thread over on the Tour page (this was about two or three weeks ago), and I wrote to the owner of the site after she killed the entire thread (sound familiar?). The thread never reappeared (it was nonsense, so no great loss), but at least I made Joe aware of it. There doesn't seem to be any way to avoid this personality type, as from a fast perusal of the Floyd sh!t on this site I get the distinct impression that Limerickman is the local equivalent, at least from the responses alleging deletion. I don't know exactly who she is, but I have enough info to find out; had she retaliated against me, I would've sued her sorry ass. Perhaps that's not the solution for you folks, after all you're all on the other side of the world, and let's face it, if taking people to court were an event on the Pro Tour, only Americans would ever win, but that's life, innit? (relax: I'm making an American joke!) Don't give up the fight! Joe Gardner, bikeforums@yahoo.com is the man and his address. If I wanted somebody to monitor me, I'd move back in with my mother. I'll be double damned if I let somebody dictate what I say or how I say it. seppo seppo seppo! take that, b!tch! (and for those of you Dear Readers who are about to flame me for calling a woman a b!tch, please save me the trouble of having to write it later and go eff yourself now. That Koff is well and truly a b!tch cannot be disputed). We of the English speaking peoples have a tradition of free speech that directly dates from the English Civil War, and indirectly dates from far before that, and any attempt to circumscribe that must be fought against, even on a meaningless bike chat forum. Come back! Fight her and all others like her! Flood Joe Gardner's mailbox with complaints! At least to strip her of Mod status. Beyond that, nothing much is going on....it's 5.18am here in Florida...Time to get some espresso in me and get some miles in before it hits 90 (30c)....and WTF is up with you guys and the metric system? Bad enough the Brits caved in... |
