So between work yesterday morning and riding in the afternoon
I managed to watch Rear Window, and farkin loved it of course,
and couldn't believe I'd never actually seen it before.

Dohhh!!!

That reminds me of a story. I played in a rugby match against Japan in Tokyo. After the game, I'm walking with the team towards the players' tunnel under the stand when I can hear my name being called out faintly over the background crowd noise. I scan up the stand... and about 20 rows back are half a dozen rather attractive young girls standing up waving with my cousin, Colleen. She runs down to the front of the stand... leans over the railing and tells me this is a freak coincidence.. she never knew I was playing. I didn't know she was in Japan either... turns out she was an expat school teacher teaching English. I hadn't seen her in about 8 years. I ask her if she could come back to the hotel as the team will be having a few drinks there before hitting the bar district. She says that sounds great... but she's with a group... is it okay if her six friends come along? I'm like "Sure... the more the merrier".

I then spend the next couple of hours in the dressing room and bus letting all the guys know that by some freak circumstance or divine destiny... I've managed to pimp seven 23 yr old single white caucasian-starved girls who are going to meet us back at the hotel.

As it got later in the bar back at the hotel... the whole team are starting to ask me where those horny attractive chicks are that I promised. Not long after that... my cousin turns up... all tarted up... on her own. She is about as attractive as me with long hair and lipstick. In other words... not a model... putting it politely. "Where are your friends?" I asked. She replies "Oh... I forgot to ask them".

Yeah ok, I'll allow you the hot sax solo - I'm partial to those myself.

I like the sax on "Baker Street".

Ahhhh Melbourne. Sometimes you just turn me right on. What a day. Have to share this little story today from my ride too. I'm giving it some stick along beach rd and notice this car is tailing me about a metre behind and in the right hand lane. Here we go I thought so in anticipation I ready myself with my best '****,****,knut' abuse in case they throw stuff at me or whatevers.

After about a kay or two the car pulls up beside me and its a young girl driving and this old guy hanging out the window like a comm from years gone by. He must of been 80+ and certainly on his way to pushing up daisies! It looked like his grandaughter had picked him up from the nursing home and taken him for a sunday drive.

Anyway he's got this crazy big grin on his face and he's yelling at me, "Mate do you know how fast your going? You're doing 60!!! 60!!!!!!!!! You're bloody doing 60. Do you know how fast that is?"

It was just priceless and I didn't know what to say other than a lame "Yeah I know mate". I didn't have the heart to tell him I had a fair sized breeze pushing me home. Before I had a chance to say hi one of the anal pedestrian lights goes off and I sneak up the inside of traffic and he is gone.

I think I made his day and he made mine and that is why I love the oldies cos they just cut through all the bull**** and don't give a **** what anybody thinks. Cool.

The end.

Aww, that's a really cute story Joffa.

Maybe he was an old racer from way back and seeing you fanging down the road brought back memories for him.

Yep I reckon you might be right and it got me thinking on the way home - there must be tons of really olden goldies in nursing homes today loking out the window wishing they were young and out on their bike like they once did. We should all ride bikes more. Especially Classic1.

Yeah, good story. Save it for Leno. I only cracked about 64kph down that dip into Ricketts Point. My best ever is 73kph with a spankin northerly!! Rah! And I can't sprint AT ALL!. Beat that! Classical Gas woulda hit 80 that night, him being an old tracky, and all

I was there today, as usual. What time were you there? I smashed a lot of woodducks today, but I don't think you were one of them. Some dude with a little motor on his bike passed me into the headwind! Girl!! I still smashed him, motor and all. What a pussy: a farkin motor on his bike! Fark me dead!

Jeeez, there are a lot of fair weather sailboarders! I thought those guys were tough and corehard, but, depsite lots of windy weather in recent (cold) months, I haven't seen that many, but today there were millions! Girls!!
