Life is an interesting place. I popped out to catch up with an english girl I met in Tassie for a drink. She and they had water. I had honey wheat beer. Oh dear. It didn't take too long. I did diatribe a bit. I went for a walk after and found myself ruminating on my manner. Once upon a time I was Faithful too. About fifteen years ago I started to become a doubter. As time went on I became a Doubter. Tonight as the discussion developed I found myself coming across as a deadset died in the wool heretic. I enjoyed explaining myself before they politely excused themselves. I could possibly work on my method. I had intended to ride there but it was pissing down, so I caught a cab. I asked the cabbie about babyJesus. He said he was a believer. I asked him why. He wasn't very convincing but he was very polite. I felt a bit awkward because I'd mentioned babyJesus. Apparently that was like months ago. I'll admit I've paid a high price to relieve myself of my superstitions, beginning about 15 years ago. I went from Believing to being doubtful to eventually becoming assured. And long after that I'm becoming chatty about it all. This is the good phase I reckon. Religion is tribalism gone wrong. Surely we are capable of better. It didn't get much better when I popped into a mate's restaurant and found myself at Handel's Messiah's afterparty. Wait. It did get better. An amazing mist shrouded moon rose behind the steeple aways away and I found myself saying goodbye and sharing the moment with Father John with goodwill in my heart. I caught a cab home with a Muslim with a sense of humour thank heavens. I felt reassured. So. What do you believe in? |

Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration — that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we're the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather. ?

Speaking of trauma, I see Robbie McEwan got busted up today, pain to his head, neck, chest and legs, with possible concussion, broken ribs and a punctured lung. Boonen got messed up a little too. |
