Cadel... hmm... Its his climbing that seems to let him down.. right when the **** goes down he's already dipped into the handbag of hurt. His TT at the Liberation of Dolphins was sweet.. very low cadence too. I'm going to review all the TT footage I have of him and see if he bogs along on a big gear when there are hilly stages on the horizon. Spinning a TT at 110rpm aint no good for 85rpm hill climbs. Topic Change: Over dinner last night I had someone who could not believe I didn't go over to SA to "See Lance". "I'm sure you've got a lot of respect for someone who has done so much for the sport, just to spend a few minutes chatting with him". Interesting take I guess... but my reply... "Well, I respect what he'd doing for the sport... but nothing I could say to him or talk to him about would make me any quicker on a bike". The dinner guest was a little confused... "but.. just to talk to the guy?"... Me, "About...?..".. Maybe he was more into fanboi'ing than me? Dunno. |

^ Hee hee My parents were gunna buy me a trip over there as a Christmas present. I said something like: "thanks, but FARK OFF!!" ![]() I didn't even bother to go to the Comm Games race, even though a mate knew a guy whose 2-story house was on the course. I told him I'd rather be riding, coz it was a nice day |

And...... yeah, I'm sure talking to a couple of club-level cyclists is just the type of thing Armstrong loves doing, coz he's never done it before. I once said g'day to Phil Anderson down at St Kilda Beach, and the horrified "oh-****,-another-'80s-dickhead-on-a-bike-is-talking-at-me" look on his face made me realize I'd stuffed up. Those Belgian cnuts are pretty hardcore and ambitious, and will help him with that medical program if it means winning Le Tour. |

“Libraries raised me,” Mr. Bradbury said. “I don’t believe in colleges and universities. I believe in libraries because most students don’t have any money. When I graduated from high school, it was during the Depression and we had no money. I couldn’t go to college, so I went to the library three days a week for 10 years.” Awesome. |
