Two sheep shaggers for this year's tour. The most ever.

Dean for Garmin and Roulston for Cervelo.

Hey Chunder, what is the inside gossip on Gerrans missing out on the Tour. Is he rooting his director sportifs missus or something?

Cervelo Testicle Team are taking Cuesta. He must be 50 years old by now. Lancaster and your punchy Maori sheep shagger mate are obviously there for the TTT and the sprint leadouts.
  • Inigo Cuesta (ESP)
  • Volodymyr Gustov (UKR)
  • Heinrich Haussler (GER)
  • Thor Hushovd (NOR)
  • Andreas Klier (GER)
  • Brett Lancaster (AUS)
  • Jose Angel Gomez Marchante (ESP)
  • Hayden Roulston (NZL)
  • Carlos Sastre (ESP)

I'd take Roulston for the TTT and the first week. Even though he is a punchy fat bastard and wil probably belt someone or have a heart attack. Cuesta is the selection that amazes me. The blokes is 40 years old and I can't even remember the last time I saw his name in a result. I think it may have been during the Indurain era! He'll have to get a pass out of the old peoples home to compete.

Roly will tow Sastre up some of the hills as well as hauling the big Norwegian unit to the front for the sprints. He goes uphill well for a diesel fatso. His star seems to be on the rise since he went all reiki or whatever to fix his ticker and got in shape for pursuiting.

Cuesta will be the oldest water boy in the peleton.

I guess it makes sense in a way. Gerro's not likely to be capable of protecting Sastre up cols when the **** comes down from the players, and Sastre's smart enough to make decent decisions and is able to look after himself pretty well in the bergs, so he might be better off with engines that can stop him losing time elsewhere, and particularly in the TTT. Shame but.

Gerro was on SEN this morning, saying he was totally farkin shocked about missing out, and also said he only found out about it 24 hours ago (which now makes it 36 hours, I suppose). He pretty much said he was pissed off that he wasn't told sooner.

Hmmm an interesting one.. he's still on the CTT payroll so he can't come out guns blazing.. but with ****e like Twitter there is no 'PR' buffer between him and what he wants stay to the masses.

I call it now - Gerro to ride for Trek-Livestrong next year when Astana folds.

Chin up Gerro... I'm sure you'll pull a ride in the Melbourne Cup.
