Ken Ford got away yesterday with me and Phil Orr in Ballarat for the cash places. For a MAS5 he is an absolute gun. Anyone know Ford's history? I reckon he'd have cleaned up a few big wins in his time no doubt!

I never wash in cold water.

Matagi's handy hint #69 ..... if you let the water stand, the chlorine dissipates. Buy a couple of those glass bottles with the wired on flip tops and fill them with water, then chuck 'em in the fridge - by the next day you will have cold, chlorine free water.

Yes.

Bob Whetters was a champ in the 60's and early 70's. Absolute gun. Dad rode the last night of a Launceston Six with him after both of them had lost their partners through falls etc. Dad reckons he learnt more in the few hours he rode with him than he had all week.

If Bob Whetters knocked you off you either a/ had it coming, b/ actually caused it yourself, or c/ should take it as an honour.

But wait, there's more:

I used to live with a few smokers (farkin deadbeat musos ). Cardboard is meant to be recycled, but plastic wrapping and alfoil aren't, so I used to take the plastic off, and the alfoil out of the cigarette packets, then squash them. Try do that every day for a year and see how your cope.

Then there's the bloody milk cartons!! No one else but me folds and squashes them properly!! You'd be surprised how much space a few improperly squahsed milk cartons can take up, even if they're at the bottom of the bin, coz they can support a lot of weight.

I used to like rolling up the foil

Hey, when you fold your milk cartons, do you straighten out the top bit, fold the sides in so they're like a "V" and then fold the bottom up?

G'day, BBP.
I went to West Timor in 1987 on a...Malvern Star. I got told off by the nice Indonesian commando folk for not having a piece of paper when I made my merry way along to East Timor.

I'm doing fine. My youngest daughter is going well on road and track, and we're off to the Kowalski Junior Tour in Canberra tomorrow.

Hey, "love" ain't necessarily what it's cracked up to be - Why don't you try for "like"?

Cheers,
E

Jeez, now I'm gunna have to grab one to check. Stand by....

(one minute later...)...

I squash the top, then the sides; fold the bottom over, then I do the 'v', but mostly just across the bottom to enusre the bottom retains its flattened state.

So your sides stick out?

The way I do it, the sides are folded in towards the centre.
