Pretty much went up and down the Newell Highway, not in any order mind.

Parkes was home base for a fair bit. Forbes is a nicer looking version of Parkes, with better Kebabs. So we went there too (I hear some film people thought the same thing )

Ah the golden highway! More road kill per klm than anywhere I know. My uncle helped build that big scope in Parkes he's in the book about the place. Spent many an afternoon in the pub at Forbes after the morning's workers got their compo waiting for the next installment of the Forbes Parkes circuit. Good times all gone now. Always liked that little fountain in the centre of Forbes, pretty good pub too.
