I can't top any of those glorious war stories, but I can illustrate one of my most numbskullingest stacks...

Bolder and bolder, faster and faster, more and more confident coming down Mt Hotham. Second last corner of the descent, hit a bump I didn't see because of the dappled light, panicked, back wheels skips off the ground and then locks up, then suddenly I am on the ground using elbows and hips as brake pads on the tar.

Here re-enacted by an extremely handsome bald fellow (not Mr Classic):

How can a colourless, near tasteless drink like vodka make your sh1t stink so bad the morning after. Farms with more than a 1,000 head of cattle don't smell this bad even in summer...

ok - so lets break this down for each question...

* Tell us who is your favourite Australian cyclist of 2009

Brendan Bailey - My pick so far, just for sticking it to the pros.
Caroline Buchanan - Don't know her.
Cadel Evans - He's a good rider, not my fave cyclist.
Simon Gerrans - The nugget, good rider, don't know anything else.
Jared Graves - Don't know him, mtb'er of some sort?
Anna Meares - Trackie f200 specialist? Good at that event.
Mark Renshaw - Wicked leadouts for Cav, thats all I know.
Sam Willoughby - Don't know him.

* Who has the best team spirit?

Brendan Bailey - Not in a team?
Caroline Buchanan - N/A
Cadel Evans - NO WAY.
Simon Gerrans - Leaving Cervello, so I guess not?
Jared Graves - N/A
Anna Meares - Trackies have teams?
Mark Renshaw - Takes it in the a55 for Cav's wins.
Sam Willoughby - N/A

* Who is the best role model?

Brendan Bailey - No idea. His self marketing is good and funny.
Caroline Buchanan - N/A
Cadel Evans - NO.
Simon Gerrans - Hard a55
Jared Graves - N/A
Anna Meares - Havn't seen much of her in the media.
Mark Renshaw - Umm.. no?
Sam Willoughby - N/A

* Who has posted the most outstanding performances?

Brendan Bailey - A few wins at DISC?
Caroline Buchanan - Don't know.
Cadel Evans - 3rd at Tour de Spaniard. World Road champ. Yep.
Simon Gerrans - Opportunistic stage wins in 2xGT. Nice.
Jared Graves - Don't know, mtb'er of some sort?
Anna Meares - No idea what shes done in 09?
Mark Renshaw - 2nd in Paris was cool.
Sam Willoughby - Don't know.

* Who deserves this honour?

Brendan Bailey - Why not?
Caroline Buchanan - No.
Cadel Evans - *yawn*
Simon Gerrans - Maybe.
Jared Graves - No.
Anna Meares - No.
Mark Renshaw - No.
Sam Willoughby - No.

I'm keen to see the rest of the awards, the youngans and masters. Any bookie willing to take some hard-earned that trackies will take out all masters awards? I mean thats all the events masters ride isn't it? As if their brittle bones could hold up out on the road.

geez expensive 're-enactment'...or was the skid mark already there?...If not, by my count that's $90 worth of tyre flat spotted!....BTW we knew when you said that the model in the
re-enactment was 'extrememly handsome' that it couldn't possibly be Classo!

That's the skid I cleverly left behind. I really thought I was going to stay upright. Right up until I started flying through the air.

Oh, and you are right... I would have said "exceedingly extremely handsome bald fellow" if I was referring to Mr. Classic.

VOTE 1 Classo

Ah but to be really up to date, you should have then abbreviated it thus ........

"Are you sure that's rubber and not the result of EBES?"
