*sigh* damn thing from torpedo7 comes with a lead acid battery. All batteries are dirty technologies but I dont want a whole heap of acid floating around my legs.

whats the rub on the BMC's Thylo?

Just this years Cervelo wonderbike? ie: next big thing? *not inferring they are new, but inferred the next bike du jour.

The specs don't match the hype?

I hope you like it 531. Don't screw the bottom bracket pushing 531 watts on the flat!

Nice one Oz... I'll be on the lookout at Casey
A bloke at the club had a good win... bought an '05 SLT (in Phonak colours I think) and it was the last one available.
One of the big knobs at Phonak desperately wanted it so they gave him the current Swiss team frame for feck all more.
Horn looking bikes.

I dont understand this. Wtf is wrong with a compact? Its not like a compact is gonna break when you look at it. It certainly isnt anymore uglier than a normal frame. so whats wrong with them.

Yeah, that's why its cheaper I suppose.

Can anyone tell me if there is any reason why you couldn't swap the battery and use a NiMH or NiCAD on lights that originally used a lead acid battery? Not suggesting you should do this kotter, just interested.

531, is $1000 good for a brand new CAAD5 Cannondale frame with forks and FSA headfittings? I know you're the Aluminium frame deal king.

I know someone who is on holidays and saw it and the furker is just his size. Saeco Crimson colour apparently - nice. I told them offer $850 and see what the shop says.

R600(caad5 frame) with cheap gear (tiagra, 105 gipiemme, truativ) complete bike cheapest deal I've seen is $2500 new. Retail is over $3k.

i'm pushing 40, and therefore a bit old-school, so I just reckon most compacts don't look as good as horizontals.

Thanks mate. I could have got one about 3 years ago when they were still considered a near top of the cannondale range frame for $1500 though a mate who had a shop, mates rates, so $1k sounded alright to me.
