Hi, Sounds like you might enjoy riding with the ACT Veterans Cycling Club. Its a racing club for women over 30 and men over 35 but they do a regular Sunday morning training ride that finnishes in town at a cafe. You will find good comradre within the club. http://www.actvets.cc/html/main.html There is also Pedal Power which is a recreational cycling group. http://www.pedalpower.org.au/ Regards, Anthony |

I used to go on quite a few pedalpower rides. The rides are mostly on Sunday mornings, and there is a "slow" and "fast" group normally. In general people of similar speed, riding abilities, tend to form groups along the ride. How fast do I have to be to join in on a act vets club weekend ride? Just getting back into riding after some back and hip problems. |

The Vets ride would be at least as fast as the fast Pedal Power ride. It does vary but they aim to ride along at 28-30 kmh on the flat. Regards, Anthony |
