Default My Commute

It is not as nice as Beth's and there are no moose. (unless you count the guy on the 'bent tandem)
But here are some pic of my ride home from work Monday and Tuesday evening. BTW the emp was ~65.

http://www.clee.org/Cycling/Commute/index.htm

This was an exercise to see how well my camera worked with the RAM mount on the H/B.

What can you expect to find in the middle of winter? Wait 'til Spring when all the jigglers are out.

It makes a really cool humming sound when you cross it. And (as I found out once when I had a MTB),
it can be quite treacherous in the early morning dew.

Canon Powershot S45 (4meg). Photos on the web have been reduced in resolution from 2272X1704 to
1024X768. When I get back from a weekend trip, I will post a picture of the RAM Mounted Camera.

Wow! So that's what green trees look like! How soon we forget. Still in the grips of deep winter
here in northern Illinois. Thanks for the promise of Spring.

That reminds me, I took some photos of my commute last fall but never posted it. Here it is:

http://solarwww.mtk.nao.ac.jp/kobaya.../bent/commute/

Click on each photo to get larger versions. Actually it's not my commute but a 3-mile trip from my
work (very close to where I live) to the nearest train station. This place is in the Mitaka area,
about 20 miles west of central Tokyo.

Ken, thank you so much for showing us! It reminded me of my 3-week stay in Japan and especially the
Tokyo suburb where the glass art school was, the train station there with all the bikes. Are those
streets as clean as they look in your photos? And do they still sell miso soup at McDonald's?

Thanks for the mainphoto of your shadow. I like the implication of the presence of the observer, the
ghost on the machine. Good art.
