Has anyone tried using eggshell type foam as a replacement for the Evo or RANS Seat cushion? If so what was your experience and where did you get? Thanks, Dom. |

Hi Dom Isn't that type of foam open cell and very soft? I can't see it being suitable. Egg crate foam is designed to prevent decubitus ulcers from forming on bed ridden patients. I haven't tried egg crate as a foam rubber replacement on a Rans seat. However, egg crate isn't very stiff, it's designed to gently support a patient fully lying down. Egg crate isn't especially durable, it's designed to support a patient who is largely immobile and restricted to bed. I don't know your particular needs, but you most likely don't want egg crate. Do a "google" search for foam rubber vendors. They can probably help you if you are not satisfied with the RANS foam. In fact, RANS are good folks, they may be able to point you to an alternative foam. |
