Well after doing alot of thinking over the weekend, I've decided to go with the Litespeed; just couldn't get the ride out of my head! After doing alot of research on their different models this weekend, I found that the Teramo and Firenze models actually share the same frame; they just come stocked with different components(Ultegra vs. Dura Ace). The regular price difference between the two is $500, the Firenze at $2699 and Teramo at $3199, but my LBS has the Firenze on sale for $1999; a steal considering that they are selling the Firenze/Teramo frame alone for $1699! The only downside to this entire equation is that the LBS is sold out of medium frames(pretty sure of that anyway; will know for certain tomorrow), so they'll have to order it. For the price difference though, It'll be worth it.

Again, the only part of this that is going to kill me: the wait!

Hey guys,

Well I took the plunge and purchased myself a beautiful '06 Litespeed Siena; I know that it's much more bike than I will ever need, but at least I shouldn't have to worry about upgrading for quite a few years. Anyway, she should be arriving at my LBS first part of next week and I can't wait! I'll be sure to post some pics once she arrives!

I just want to thank you guys for all of your helpful advice and support; you gave me the knowledge that I needed in order to make an educated purchasing decision and I truly appreciate it!

Happy riding!

Glad you came to a decision! I know it's too late for my 2 cents, but did you try the Roubaix double? I found the gearing much nicer than on the triple. And I went a step up (ultegra rear derailleur) with the Comp. Much improved over the Elite for not gobs of money more. Does sound like I need to get rid of my '06 saddle and find an '07 though (the seat is my only real gripe). Even with a more swanky series in the future, trying different price points could make the difference when the decisionmaking gets tough.

You went at the buying experience the right way--riding everything you could. Enjoy your Litespeed!
