  Trek 1500? The silver and blue Discovery Channel one. Would this be a good beginner bike? Never rode a road bike before, but I've been looking for some time now. This bike is retailing for about $929.99 at my LBS. I thought this was some good value. I told myself I wouldn't spend over a thousand, even though I understand I'll probably need a computer, pedal upgrade, and some shoes. Any insights?  |

| Re: Trek 1500? Pretty good bike for the money. Alpha alum frame. More than you need to get you started. Make sure it fits. What you need....is a helmet. Dont forget that. |
