Hey all, I've been wanting to get a road bike and get into cycling for a while now, and talking to a couple of people on holiday last week who did l'etape du tour over the summer has kind of spurred me on a bit! Anyway, I've been doing my research and talking to as many people as possible. I want to buy 2nd hand to get a bit more for my money and went into a couple of my LBSs yesterday to see if they had anything. One of them did, and theyre offering to make up a bike for me with the following kit: -2nd hand 60cm Kinesis racelight frame (t04 I think it was) -2nd hand Carbon forks and steerer -Shimano Ultegra chain set (2nd hand As far as I know), with STI shifters -Tektro dual pivot brakes Not sure of the wheels yet, but thats all for £400... With a bit of bargaining and the offer of cash only I guess I'll be able to knock it down a little bit. So the question is, is this a good deal or should I be looking elsewhere? Is there anything else I should look out for? Any advice would be brilliant - really appreciate any help you can give! Cheers, Will |
