Giant Rincon '08 or GT Avalanche 3.0 ?

I've got a couple of bike choices sorted out, the Giant Rincon '08 or GT Avalanche 3.0.
They're the same price, so what do you guys reckon?
I guess it's down to the running gear & stuff.
It's just for a recreational bike and a bit of offroading thown in.
