Default 2006 Kona Sutra or Surley Long Haul Trucker

I am trying to decide between buying a 2006 Kona Sutra, for $800 or a new Surley LHT. The Kona is in good condition, has barely been ridden, and has been in storage for a while but the disc brakes need a little work. Does this seem like a good price? I am always skeptical buying something off Craig's List. I am going to use the bike for commuting (5 miles, all flat) and weekend touring. The Kona is a 49 and the LHT is a 50, and I am 5'5". I have ridden both, and the Kona felt comfortable, but I am concerned it might be a bit too small. Any advice?
