Default carbon forks?

buying road bike soon any advice on carbon forks is it worth extra money is extra comfort significant with carbon ,ride alot on secondry roads and country roads have hybrid at moment but want extra speed and longer rides theres abig jump in price just for the carbon forks....apreiate any views...

The "ride" of a carbon fork is BETTER than that of an aluminum fork ...

BUT, if the bike has FAT tires where the max tire pressure is below 85PSI, then you may not notice a difference.

The "ride" of a carbon fork is the SAME/(no better than) as that a good steel fork BUT a carbon fork will make the bike lighter by about a pound (or, more).
